Museum of Believing Workshop
Date: Saturday 6th June2026
Time: 12 noon to 2.00pm
Ticket: FREE Event but booking required

Museum of Believing is an interactive workshop for children ages 5-12 blending archeology and storytelling. Participants have the opportunity to excavate, clean and examine small objects using real archeological tools and equipment, as well as to imagine what their object is, who it could have belonged to, and what makes it valuable. Finally, they will place their object and its descriptive card into the Museum and have a chance to see the objects and stories discovered and created by others. We are encouraging young people to see objects as stories, and history as a fertile landscape for curiosity and creativity.

Creative producer Heather Rose and experienced theatre-maker and facilitator Miriam Needham act as ‘curators’ at the Museum of Believing. We will offer prompts and help the children as needed, whether that’s selecting their object, offering questions to help them imagine what it could be, or finding the perfect home for it in the Museum.

Rose Producing creates high quality arts experiences with and for young people, with a particular focus on special audiences such as small rural schools and children with additional needs.

This activity will be open on a rolling basis from 12-2pm so children will stay for as little or as long as is needed during that time.
