We welcome tour groups of all ages including National Schools, Historical Societies and Active Age Groups. Tours can be tailored to the needs of your group and your learning objectives or interests. Refreshments and/or lunch can be pre-arranged on request.

What to Expect

Our School and Group Tours are tailor made to suit your needs. Our guides have vast experience in bringing all ages through the stories of King House in a fun and informative way.

A visit to King House for the young and older child will bring to life: Conditions in a Georgian Mansion for the family and their servants; The history and myths of Gaelic Ireland; Life in the Army for a young man at home and overseas through the eighteen hundreds and beyond; what is was like to be imprisoned in the King House Jail Cells.

For the older school / college learners – we showcase the arts through the Boyle Civic Collection, The Mary McAleese Presidential gifts collection (former President of Ireland) and the Hidden Gem collection of a world renowned Goldsmith, Ewin Springbrunn.
