Sean Regan & Peter Molloy

Peter Molloy

Peter Molloy is a flute player from Mayo. Peter learnt his flute playing from his father Matt, who learned himself from some great exponents of the North Connaught style. The family pub in Westport, ‘Matt Molloys’ is a popular session venue with traditional musicians both from the locality and from further afield. Peter has played with many fantastic performers over the years, including Lunasa and the Chieftains.

Sean Regan
Since 2008 Sean has been a regular member of the Damien Dempsey Band supporting Bruce Springsteen on his Wrecking Ball Tour in Nolan Park Stadium 2013, recording fiddle and viola on Damien’s, Almighty Love album. Also eight years fiddle with the Sharon Shannon Band.

Having played the fiddle for almost 30 years, Sean is in high demand for session and live performance in all areas; from traditional Irish music through to Rock. Instantly identifiable for his versatile, sweet fiddle playing and unique sensitivity – that is sometimes hard to find today.

King House’s Cultural Companions Programme aims to enhance engagement with the arts among older audiences

This innovative initiative will feature a series of seven daytime events, taking place at the renowned historic and cultural venue King House.

The programme will showcase talented performers from Roscommon and neighbouring counties, offering a diverse range of entertainment options for older audiences. Events will include drama, music, and talks, with ticket prices capped at a maximum of €5 for older people.

Each event will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to meet and mingle with fellow arts enthusiasts.
